Meet Scott
A Proven Leader. A True Neighbor. Your Voice.
Scott Shoemake is a husband, father, pastor, business owner, and longtime Ventura resident who has spent his life building businesses, developing leaders, and serving people both at home and around the world.
At the center of it all are his family, his faith, and a deep love for Ventura, with a simple belief that leadership starts with listening, common sense still matters, and the best way to make a difference is to serve people well.

ONE Bold Leader. FIVE Common Sense Solutions.
Safe neighborhoods, parks, well maintained streets and public spaces. Support our police and fire departments with the resources they need, while bringing both compassion and accountability to the challenges facing our community.
Restoring transparency starts with open communication. We will ensure every decision made at City Hall is clear, fiscally responsible, and reflects the actual needs of our local residents.
Cut unnecessary red tape, fix broken planning and permitting processes, support businesses from small shops to major employers, and make Ventura one of the best places to start, build and grow a business.
The right growth, in the right places. Plan development where traffic impacts make sense, require adequate parking, protect neighborhood character, and expect thoughtful design. Ventura deserves architecture, not boxes.

MAKE VENTURA A PLACE WHERE FAMILIES STAY
Ventura should be a city where our kids can grow up, find opportunity, afford to live, put down roots and raise families of their own. Strong neighborhoods, great public parks and spaces, and good jobs all matter if we want the next generation to have a future here.
VOTE. VOTE. VOTE. VOTE. VOTE. VOTE. VOTE.
“Is Ventura going in the direction YOU want? If not, LET'S change that!”
Faith. Family. Ventura.
